About

Clare is the girl who gets whiplash when she sees those magical words: Shoe. Book. Sale. Often her first words to strangers will be “Ohh, I love your shoes” and she is a typical Victorian who will start a conversation with “who do you go for?” (the correct answer is Collingwood).

She has a BA in Professional Writing and was the editor of her university student newsletter in her final year as well as creating and editing the Whitehorse Waffler.

Her freelance writing has appeared in print and online in publications such as Dolly, Somersault, Wordsmith Lane, Weekend Notes, The Aphrodite Chase, SheGoes, Signpost and Gymnastics Victoria.  Clare has written press releases and completed proofreading and copy writing for work in past jobs as well as her current role.  She has written and performed a monologue on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice where she now like to create the monologues, not perform them.

She lives in Melbourne with her husband and an ex-racing greyhound who thinks her singing is the best thing he’s ever heard.*

*This may or may not be true (the singing part not the living in Melbourne part)
